qubo Adds Rabbit for Fall

In addition to adding the mail carrying adventures of Postman Pat to its multiplatform offerings, the qubo programming block will debut the new animated series My Friend Rabbit as it kicks off its fall lineup on Saturday, Oct. 6. The new additions will join such returning series as VeggieTales, Jane and the Dragon, 3-2-1 Penguins! and Dragon, which will all be back with new episodes.

Produced by Nelvana in Canada, My Friend Rabbit is inspired by the popular book by Eric Rohmann. Together, Rabbit and his best friend, Mouse, search for the end of rainbows, try to turn the moon on and off, play follow the leader with their geese friends, the Gibble Girls, and learn about life from a menagerie of friends that includes alligators, and rhinos. Nelvana also co-produces Jane and the Dragon with Weta Prods., the New Zealand-based company behind the visual effects for such blockbusters as the Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong.

Entering its second year, qubo offers programming seven-days a week on its newly launched digital channel and online at www.qubo.com. The block can also be seen on NBC on Saturday mornings, ION Television on Friday afternoons and Telemundo on weekends. All qubo shows are associated with popular children’s books and are joined by interstitials produced by Scholastic to reinforce early literacy.
