Next month, Fathom Events and ELEVEN ARTS Anime Studio are bringing the brand-new feature length anime tale Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day to fans across the U.S. The film will screen with the original Japanese dialogue (English subtitles) on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m. local time, and with a new English dub on Monday, July 15 at 7 p.m.
The English-language voice over cast features Erica Mendez as Kumiko Oumae, Laura Post as Reina Kousaka, Kavlii Mills as Sapphire Kawashima, and Jennifer Losi as Hazuki Katou. The freshmen members of the bass section will be Christine Marie Cabanos as Kanade Hisaishi, Katelyn Gault as Mirei Suzuki, Xanthe Hyunh as Satsuki Suzuki, and Lucien Dodge as Motomu Tsukinaga.
Arriving Stateside after its release in Japan, the move features an all-new Sound! Euphonium story following the Kitauji High School concert band club from Ayano Takeda’s novels. Produced by Kyoto Animation (A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird, Violet Evergarden), Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day is helmed by returning director Tatsuya Ishihara.

Synopsis: While Sound! Euphonium’s Liz and the Blue Bird explored the relationship of bandmates Mizore and Nozomi and took on a radical new art style, Our Promise: A Brand New Day returns to Sound! Euphonium’s familiar style and the story of franchise protagonist Kumiko Oumae, now in her second year of high school. Follow Kumiko as she takes on the role of mentor towards the incoming class of new members of the Kitauji High School concert band club as the group aims to take the gold at the National Championship competition.
