Animation Ireland announced the nominees for the third Irish Animation Awards, which will take place in Dingle on Saturday, March 23 during the Animation Dingle festival and conference. A panel of professional judges narrowed down the many estimable projects produced in the country, with Space Chickens in Space earning the honor of being the most-nominated program with six nods.
Nominees in the Kids’ Choice Award categories will be announced at the end of February.
The Irish Animation Awards are sponsored by RTÉ, Screen Ireland, Animation Skillnet, Philip Lee, Celaction, Screen Skills Ireland, Brophy Gillespie and Gorilla Post.
