In the newly unleashed trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures’ summer caped-caper, DC League of Super-Pets, fans are introduced into the daily life of spoiled super-dog Krypto (Dwayne Johnson) — just before things get a lot more complicated.
When Clark Kent/Superman (John Krasinski) is cornered by a nefarious, kryptonite-wielding rodent (voiced by Kate McKinnon), it sets off a chain of events that will see Krypto stuck with a pack of accidentally suped-up shelter animals, on a mission to save the Justice League!
WB also released new images tied to the action-comedy trailer to tide fans over until the film hits theaters in July..
Synopsis: Krypto the Super-Dog (Johnson) and Superman (Krasinski) are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack — Ace the hound (Kevin Hart), PB the potbellied pig (Vanessa Bayer), Merton the turtle (Natasha Lyonne) and Chip the squirrel (Diego Luna) — to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.
LEGO movie veteran writer/consultant Jared Stern makes his animated feature directing debut on the film, which also stars Marc Maron, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves.
