DreamWorks is ready to reap the rewards of the building anticipation for its 2019 movie How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. Fans were clearly reeling from Hiccup fever at this Sunday’s New York Comic Con, which offered a special behind-the-scenes panel about the movie at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden, with director Dean Deblois and cast members sharing insights and the new trailer.
The studio recently announced that How to Train Your Dragon 3 will arrive in theaters ahead of schedule next year, on Feb. 22 (instead of the original March 1 date). Here is the official synopsis for the movie: “As Hiccup fulfills his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, Toothless’ discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away. When danger mounts at home and Hiccup’s reign as village chief is tested, both dragon and rider must make impossible decisions to save their kind.”
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is directed by Dean DeBlois, and produced by by Brad Lewis (Ratatouille) and How to Train Your Dragon series producer Bonnie Arnold (Toy Story, Tarzan). The voice cast includes Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Kit Harington, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Gerard Butler,Taron Egerton, T. J. Miller, Kristen Wiig and F. Murray Abraham.
