Phase 4 Films’ dedicated kids and family label kaboom! Entertainment has secured a placement with Walmart in Canada which will see the retailer stocking Octonauts and My Big Big Friend DVD gift sets in store starting November 19. Both titles are represented by Treehouse Presents, a DVD label created by Corus and Phase 4. The two companies have a long-standing partnership, and kaboom! has distributed 26 brands under the Treehouse Presents banner.
Earlier this year, kaboom! inked a deal with Walmart Canada to create a Treehouse-branded section in the home entertainment department, and has created 20 exclusive products for the four-foot section since March. kaboom! is the Canada rep for Octonauts (Silvergate Media) and My Big Big Friend (Breakthrough Ent.), which both air on Treehouse in the country. Priced at $19.99, both DVD collections will be included in national gift set programs and will be in Walmart’s 321 stores throughout Canada.
