+ DHX Media has inked a new seven-year broadcast deal with U.K.’s CBeebies for multi-award-winning preschool series In the Night Garden (100 x 30). DHX also announced new product initiatives for the coming years. This autumn Inspiration Works will launch new electronic learning toys; new goods from Golden Bear will be supported by a Q4 TV advertising campaign, and Penguin Books will offer novelty and picture storybooks. + FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has welcomed aboard new publishing and licensing partners for its quirky animated comedy series, Strange Hill High. The series debuted on CBBC this spring and has just received a further 13 x 30 commission from the channel. Carlton Books will launch its first products in spring 2014 under its Carlton Kids imprint; these will include sticker activity books, Mitchell’s diary (illustrated pocket book) and a behind-the-scenes guide to the show. Pedigree will publish annuals in print and digital for the show. Launching later in 2014 will be goods from Zeon (timepieces and accessories) and Jumbo (puzzles and games).
