Classic Media has announced new consumer products partners and new Olivia merch set to debut this fall. The new partners including Just Play (Master Toy), Dalmatian Press, Chronicle Books and Publications International join a roster of 40-plus licensees for the beloved piglet created by children’s author Ian Falconer, who currently stars in her own CG TV series on Nick Jr. U.S. and over 120 countries worldwide.
Original Olivia publisher Simon & Schuster will release a new ‘classic’ title this fall, Olivia and the Fairy Princesses by Falconer. 13 new tie-in titles and 10 eBooks are also slated for release this year. Complementing the publishing program will be Dalmatian Press, a leader in coloring and activity publications, which will unveil a range of big crayon books, sticker books, floor activity books and fun pads; Chronicle Books will debut a series of novelty formats including a cookbook with cookie cutters, paper doll play-set and flashcards; and Publications International, which is introducing new SKUs.
New Master Toy partner Just Play will cuddle up with 5-6″ plush Olivia beanies, a medium-sized plush assortment and a “bedtime” plush that plays music. Additionally, a role-play line will include fancy dress-up shoes, tiara and hanging dress assortment. Plush and Role Play lines will launch fall 2012 with plans for Figures and Playsets for spring 2013. Also this fall, educational entertainment leader LeapFrog will launch an Olivia learning game for LeapPad and Leapster Explorer platforms which will teach early math concepts and logic as children experience a day in Olivia’s life.
