Daniel Weidenfeld was named Senior Vice President; Head of Development and Current at the Emmy Award winning animation studio, Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers, Hazbin Hotel, Krapopolis), in 2023. In this role, alongside Ben Jones, the Creative Director at the Studio, he is responsible for overseeing the development of their slate of ½ hour and 1 hour shows, as well as current series, where they currently have shows in Development or on the air at Fox Broadcasting, Amazon and Netflix, among others. Before joining Bento, Daniel was SVP of Animation for Fox Broadcasting, where among the series under his purview are FOX’s iconic comedies The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, as well as The Great North, Krapopolis, from creator Dan Harmon, Grimsburg, and Universal Basic Guys.
Prior to joining FOX Entertainment, Weidenfeld was a writer and producer on a number of series, including Adult Swim’s Lazor Wulf, Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio, China, IL and The Eric Andre Show; TBS’ The Pound Hole; and Netflix’s Trigger Warning with Killer Mike. From 2008 to 2010, he was Vice President of Content Development, TV & New Media at Generate, LLC. Weidenfeld graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
