Jeff Hermann is the producer of DreamWorks Animation’s critically acclaimed film The Wild Robot for writer/director Chris Sanders. Hermann previously produced DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby: Family Business, the second chapter to the Oscar® nominated blockbuster, The Boss Baby.
Hermann served as co-producer on Kung Fu Panda 3 and as production manager on the first two Kung Fu Panda films, which, collectively, earned more than $1.8 billion worldwide.
He produced the animated short film To: Gerard, directed by Taylor Meacham, which had its world premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. Additionally, he produced the short films Marooned, directed by Andrew Erekson; Bilby, directed by Liron Topaz, Pierre Perifel and JP Sans; and Bird Karma, directed by William Salazar.
With the opening of The Wild Robot, Hermann celebrated 25 years with DreamWorks Animation. He has worked as production supervisor on a number of DWA titles including Sinbad and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Additionally, he served as digital 2D producer on the Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special in 2010.
Prior to joining DreamWorks Animation, Hermann spent five years at Walt Disney Feature Animation where he held various roles on films including John Henry, Mulan, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pocahontas.
Raised in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Hermann attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film production. Hermann is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
