Rob Hudnut is one of the most successful storytellers in children’s entertainment. Rob started Mattel’s entertainment division in 1998 and over the next 19 years executive produced award-winning movies and television series for Barbie (28 movies plus “Life In The Dreamhouse”), Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price Little People, Rescue Heroes, DC Superhero Girls, Polly Pocket, Masters of the Universe and other Mattel brands. Rob is also an Emmy-nominated songwriter.
Rob created and executive produced 26 x 11-minute episodes of “Tea Town Teddy Bears” which launched September 2024 on Peacock and YouTube. His second property for NBCU/Peacock is “Team Mekbots: Animal Rescue” which he created with his partners in More Minds Studio. That property launches in January 2025. Like all of Rob’s properties both are built on play patterns. He proudly produced both with M2 Animation.
Rob, his wife and two boys live in Pasadena where he’s usually playing tennis.
