Searit Huluf was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She studied at UCLA’s Theater, Film and Television school, concentrating on screenwriting and animation. After graduating, Searit moved to the Bay Area and began working in Production Management at Pixar Animation Studios.
During her time at Pixar, Searit worked as a Production Coordinator on “Incredibles 2” and “Turning Red,” as well as some of Pixar’s SparkShorts films. She has also directed numerous short narrative and documentary films, such as buna, GAMERS, Exploring Blackness, and 19th Amendment Doc. She most recently directed Pixar’s newest SparkShort “Self,” which was released on Disney+ on February 2, 2024. She was also named one of Variety’s “10 Animators To Watch” for 2024.
During her spare time, Searit brews a variety of coffee drinks using multiple espresso machines. She currently resides in Oakland, CA.
