Zoe Bamsey is Head of Animation Development at BBC Studios, Kids & Family.
Zoe leads the development of BBC Studios Kid & Family’s original animated content, Her role involves sourcing existing IP (from creative directors and producers, books, graphic novels and brands) and, and pitching it to BBC channels and the global content market. Zoe also maintains and develops existing and new co-development, co-production, creative and business opportunities worldwide.
Before joining BBC Studios, Zoe was Chief Content Officer at leading UK animation studio Factory Media where she developed and produced Clangers and Scream Street and Director of Programming and Development at Coolabi Group, where she worked on Poppy Cat for global broadcast channels amongst other titles. Zoe was also key in establishing the Walt Disney Channels Business globally where she held the posts of Executive Director of Programming and Director of Worldwide Programming Strategy, leading the successful launch and rollout of global hits High School Musical and Hannah Montana.
Zoe resides in Los Angeles, California with her husband Daniel and their three teenage children.
