Aardman Animations may be best known for its Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit shorts and the hit feature Chicken Run, but a little something called Angry Kid has been building its own fan base. Those devotees will be happy to learn that another series of shorts debuts online today.
Available exclusively at http://angrykid.atomfilms.com, the new Angry Kid episodes are first being offered to broadband subscribers via AtomFilms’ free Hi-Def service. Those users will initially receive the first three of 26 new one-minute installments of Angry Kid Series Two. The broadband service will then deliver new episodes on a weekly basis. A week after the Hi-Def debut, they will be made available in regular streaming formats on AtomFilms.
The new series continues the clay-animated chronicles of an impudent British brat that proved to be an Internet phenomenon when it generated more than 10 million online views after its launch on AtomFilms in 2000. Series Two premiered on television last year on the U.K.’s BBC 3.
