Amtrak, Henson All Aboard ‘Dinosaur Train’ Promo

All aboard the Big Big Dinosaur Sweepstakes! The Jim Henson Company, kids’ entertainment powerhouse and producers of PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train, have joined forces with Amtrak for a second time to present a fun summertime promotion that will award one lucky family an Amtrak vacation. JHC SVP of Global Consumer Products Melissa Segal made the announcement.

The Big Big Dinosaur Sweepstakes launches this month; families can enter by logging on to Henson.com/DTSweeptsakes and following the entry directions for a chance to win a vacation to Chicago and Washington, DC where they will have the chance to visit the National Museum of Natural History with exhibits featuring—yep, you guessed it—dinosaurs! (Well, their bones and stuff, anyway.)

As part of the national promotion, Amtrak will distribute over 65,000 free Dinosaur Train themed activity booklets to young travelers and 1 million Amtrak Dinosaur Train ticket jackets to passengers, as well as 20,000 Dinosaur Train placemats for use in its dining cars. There will also be entry details printed on counter cards and seatbacks in over 100 Amtrak stations. Details can also be found on Amtrak.com and toy partner TOMY’s website (www.tomy.com).
