Kuala Lumpur-based Animasia Studio’s original animated series Harry & Bunnie arrives on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia on May 20, with new episodes to air every Friday. The series will also launch on Disney Channels in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and India.
Aimed at kids 7-11, Harry & Bunnie is a fast-paced, non-dialog 2D animated slapstick comedy. The 78 x 7 series centers on Harry, a young wannabe magician who invents magic tricks to impress his friends — although he often fails to do so. Meanwhile, his mischievous stage rabbit Bunnie seems to always steal the limelight with his perpetual plots to steal Harry’s magic wand.
Animasia Studio produces the series, which is executive produced by Edmund Chan and Raye Lee, and executive directed by Ah Loong. Animasia, the largest animation service provider in Malaysia, is also behind Chuck Chicken and Supa Strikas.
