Young viewers will be schooled on the many holiday traditions observed around the world when Cookie Jar Ent.’s Caillou’s Holiday Movie makes its television debut on PBS KIDS Sprout on Monday, Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m. (ET). This first feature-length movie for the animated preschool property will include new songs as the beloved character and his friends countdown to the Holidays.
Based on the series of best-selling children’s books originiated by author Christine L’Heureux and illustrator H’l’ne Desputeaux, Caillou revolves around a lovable four-year-old with a unique way of relating to the world, and demonstrates how initial life experiences, no matter how commonplace, can be perceived with wonder and a sense of discovery. The stories address real problems and conflicts that typically arise in a young child’s development.
In addtion to Caillou, Cookie Jar Ent. produces and serves as brand manager for such renowned children’s properties as The Doodlebops, Arthur and Johnny Test. Caillou’s Holiday Movie will air on PBS KIDS Sprout throughout the holiday season, repeating on Dec. 20 at 4:30 p.m. (ET), and on Christmas Day at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. (ET).
