Hearts and Hoops rule at Cartoon Network this weekend as Valentine’s Day programming takes over Saturday and NBA players mix it up with toon stars on Sunday.
Johnny Bravo and Pepe LePew host a daylong tribute to love spurned on Saturday. The Don’t Be My Valentine marathon will include love-themed classic Looney Tunes shorts and such Cartoon Network original series as Dexter’s Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. Mr. Bravo will share his how-to tips and favorite pick-up lines and the network will air his 30-minute special, It’s Valentine’s Day, Johnny Bravo, at 8 a.m., 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Cartoon Network’s NBA All-Star Slam kicks off on Sunday when NBA stars such as Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Karl Malone and Jason Kidd give the network’s characters some tips on how to handle themselves on and off the court. The marathon of sports-themed episodes of such shows as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Codename: Kids Next Door and Ed, Edd ‘n’ Eddy will air from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
