DECODE Acquires Super Why

DECODE Ent. has picked up worldwide television distribution rights (excluding the U.S.) to the animated preschool series Super Why from Blues Clues producer Out of the Blue Enterprises. The show on currently airs on PBS in the US and has also been acquired up by Canada’s CBC. DECODE will showcase it at the upcoming MIPCOM in Cannes.

Super Why (65×22) is a co-venture between Blue Enterprises co-founder and Blue’s Clues creator Angela C. Santomero, fellow Nickelodeon veteran Samantha Freeman and DECODE. The series was created to help kids learn the fundamentals of reading through the interactive storybook adventures of four fairytale friends who transform into literacy-powered superheroes. Alpha Pig, Wonder Red, Princess Presto and Super Why all jump into books to play interactive reading games, find answers to everyday preschool challenges, overcome obstacles and save the day.

DECODE has also recently bolstered its distribution slate with the addition of Turner Broadcasting’s live-action series My Spy Family, produced by Kindle Ent. for kids 6-14, and Poko and Bo on the GO! from Halifax Films, DECODE’s sister company under DHX Media Ltd.
