DIC’s Sabrina Makes Int’l Sales Sweep

Everybody’s favorite teenage witch is hopping on her broom and heading to broadcasters across the U.K., Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Canada. DIC Ent. has made a raft of sales in those territories for the Totally Sabrina package, which includes 65 episodes of the hit Sabrina, The Animated Series and 26 half-hour episodes of the brand new series Sabrina’s Secret Life.

The Totally Sabrina package has been acquired to air on France’s TF1, Ireland’s RTE, Super RTL in Germany, Italy’s Mediaset, Austria’s ORF, Saran in Turkey, Alter in Greece, Spain’s regional stations FORTA, Brazil’s SBT, Noga in Israel and Canada’s TELETOON. Additionally, Walt Disney Television Int’l recently acquired Sabrina’s Secret Life and Sabrina, The Animated Series for air on the Disney Channel in the U.K., Asia, Taiwan, Australia, France, Latin America including Brazil, the Middle East and Spain.

Sabrina’s Secret Life, a co-production venture between TF1 and French production house LST, debuted at this year’s MIPCOM market. The series has been acquired by Poland’s Minimax, TV3 in Malaysia, GMTV in the U.K., Switzerland’s SSR and Mexico’s Televisa. The series has also been added to the program line-up on the U.S. syndicated DIC Kids Network programming block, which recently aired Sabrina:The Animated Series.

DIC’s other popular properties include such classics as Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Where On Earth Is Carmen Sandiego? Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., Captain Planet and new shows like Super Duper Sumos, Liberty’s Kids and the co-productions Alienators: Evolution Continues and MaryKate & Ashley, In Action!.
