Recently launched Paris-based distribution company Hari International announces the first raft of sales for Grizzy and the Lemmings, a 78 x 7 non-verbal CG animated comedy series. Hari will pursue further expansion for the property at Kidscreen in Miami, camping in the French Corner of the Main Ballroom.
Following the worldwide launch on Boomerang in the fall and a successful debut at MIP, Grizzy and the Lemmings has also enjoyed warm receptions on Télé-Québec over the Christmas season, and on France 3 where it debuted New Year’s Eve. Now, the series has been picked up by Super RTL (Germany), VRT (Belgium), NPO (Netherlands), NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden), RUV (Iceland) and Puls TV (Poland).
“Since the worldwide pay tv exposure is already secured, our aim is to bring together the largest number of national terrestrial partners to establish the brand,” said Head of Sales, Adeline Tormo. “We are thrilled that so many partners have joined the adventure so quickly; and we are quite confident about the future since there are many ongoing discussions with potential new partners. The unanimous enthusiasm raised by this program is very exciting.”
“The first place of Grizzy and the Lemmings at the MIPJunior screenings was a sign of the profession’s passion for our program. We are pleased to see that this enthusiasm is confirmed with these first international collaborations,” added Josselin Charier, Hari’s co-founder with Antoine Rodelet.
