Moonscoop Sells 4 Shows to Middle East

Moonscoop has sold four new shows to Middle East kids broadcaster MBC3, bolstering its presence in the region considerably.

The sale includes the shows Zevo-3, Gasp!, The DaVincibles and Tara Duncan.

‘It’s fantastic to get such a strong response from a broadcaster to new programming,’ said Marie Conge, senior VP international sales and CPG at Moonscoop. ‘What makes these shows standout in the crowded animation market is the high mix of comedy and adventure, and also that they appeal equally to both boys and girls.’

The details on the shows follows:

Zevo-3 consists of 26 half-hour episodes and produced in conjunction with Skechers Entertainment.

Gasp! is a 52 x 11 min. animated comedy series based on a comic book by Australian Terry Denton about a goldfish who talks to the other animals while the humans are out. It is produced by SLR Productions in association with Screen Australia, Network Nine Australia, ABC Kids, Agogo and Moonscoop.

The DaVincibles (52×11) an animated adventure comedy series about the modern day DaVinci family. It is co-created and co-produced by Moonscoop and Neo Network. Rai Fiction, SLR, Telegael and Big Animation are also on board as co-production partners.

Tara Duncan (26 x 22 min.) is new 2D series co-produced by Moonscoop and DQ Entertainment with France’s M6 and Disney Channel France. Based on the children’s fantasy books by Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian, the series follows the a beautiful teenage girl bestowed with magical powers who finds herself in a high stakes battle against evil forces from another world.

MBC3 is based in the United Arab Emirates and broadcasts to various Arab nations in the Middle East.
