qubo Gets ER’s Shelldon

Entertainment Rights Plc (ER) in the U.K. has announced that its new CG-animated television series, Shelldon, will air during the qubo children’s programming block seen on NBC, Telemundo and ION TV networks in the U.S. The 13×30 series for kids 4-8 focuses on environmental themes and is scheduled to premiere in spring of 2009. The property is currently being showcased at MIPCOM in Cannes.

Produced by Shellhut Ent., Shelldon is a lighthearted series that aims to entertain while educating children about marine life. Set in the world of seashells, the show also informs kids on what they can do to help make the world a better and greener place.

ER acquired worldwide distribution rights to Shelldon (excluding Thailand and with shared representation in Japan and Korea) in March of 2008 across all forms of television, digital media, home entertainment, music, licensing and merchandising.

qubo’s multi-platform offerings can be found on NBC on Saturday mornings, ION TV network Friday afternoons and Telemundo weekend mornings, as well as on qubo’s 24/7 digital broadcast channel and website, www.qubo.com. The qubo Channel is broadcast in both English and Spanish, and is available in all markets served by an ION Television station, Verizon’s FIOS TV, AT&T’s U-Verse, Mediacom and Comcast.
