Moonscoop has scored a double sale to Russia, landing its animated preschool shows Chloe’s Closet and Dive Olly Dive! on Channel One.
“This is a significant deal for us, bringing two of our preschool series to Channel One, one of Russia’s most prestigious channels,” said Marie Conge, senior VP international distribution and CPG at Moonscoop. “We are confident that the shows will perform very well on this new broadcast platform.”
Chloe’s Closet (52 x 11 mins.) airs in key territories around the world including France where it is broadcast on France 5 and Playhouse Disney; the U.S. on PBS Kids Sprout, in Germany on KI.KA and on the Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney in Spain. Chloe’s Closet is produced in high-definition 2D animation out of Moonscoop’s LA office, in association with Wales Creative IP Fund, KI.KA/ARD, Trickompany FilmProduktion GMBH, European Film Partners and Telegael.
Dive Olly Dive! is a co-production of Mike Young Productions Limited, Flying Bark Productions of Australia, KI.KA, ARD of Germany, Telegael Teo of Ireland, Atlantyca Entertainment of Italy and GDC in China. The new second season has also sold to France 5, SVT Sweden, Finland’s MTV3 and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel in the Middle East alongside Disney Asia, Univision, TVA Canada and co-producers KI.KA. The first series was seen by more than 350 million cumulative viewers worldwide and was winner of the 2008 Parents’ Choice Award and Hugo Television Award, in addition to being nominated for an Emmy Award, Prix Jeunesse and Best Animated Series at the 2008 Annecy International Festival of Animated Film.
