The Hive, an animated series about the everyday adventures of a family of bees, will make its debut on TVE’s kids channel Clan in Spain this Sunday, September 13 as part of its Back to School programming. Following the premiere, new episodes will air Monday through Friday and rerun every day.
Aimed at preschoolers, The Hive stars Buzzbee, a little bee almost 5 years old; his sister Rubee and parents Mamma Bee and Pappa Bee. The modern, colorful series sets out to connect easily with children and help them understand life in a simple, positive way. A team of international screenwriters including Ian Carney (Shaun the Sheep, Bob the Builder), Bridget Hurst (Jungle Junction, Charlie and Lola), Rebecca Stevens (Mike the Knight) and Kate Scott (Chuggington) are involved in the show.
The Hive is developed by DQ Entertainment, Lupus Film, Monumental Productions, Picture Production Company, Hive Enterprises and Bejuba! Entertainment. It is already carried on key networks such as Disney (in several European territories, U.S. and Asia), ITV (U.K.), RAI (Italy), YLE (Finland), Knowledge/Tele-Quebec (Canada) and ABC (Australia). The brand is bolstered by a strong licensing program, supported by international partners like Master Toy licensee Mookie.
The Hive brand is managed worldwide by Space Enterprises. BRB Internacional manages the brand in Spain and Portugal.
