Following the announcement of the 2023 Official Selection for its Short Films competitions, organizers of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival have published this year’s picks for the Graduation Films (47), TV (29) and Commissioned Films (27) programs. The festival received 1,665 submissions from 77 countries across these categories.
The TV Films competition features many international broadcast and streaming favorites as well as hot new releases, such as Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell, ONI: Thunder God’s Tale, Chainsaw Man, Big Nate, Edmond and Lucy, Lloyd of the Flies, Karate Sheep, Shape Island and Agent Elvis. Submissions for the VR Works competition selection are open until April 6, 2023.
Registration for the 2023 Annecy International Animation Film Festival is now open. The festival will take place June 11-17, with the Mifa market running June 13-16.
