Sony Pictures today unveiled a new, official trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, giving fans a look at the emotional tension behind this dimensional mash-up adventure featuring a vast web of heroic Spider-People. The Sony Pictures Animation/Marvel hits theaters June 2.
Featuring in the new spot are Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Gwen Stacey (Hailee Steinfield) The Spot (Jason Schwartzman), Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) and Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), plus glimpses of Jessica Drew (Issa Rae), Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya), Spider-Man India (Karan Soni).
Synopsis: Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Across the Spider-Verse is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham (based on the Marvel comic books). The cast also includes Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone and Shea Whigham.
