Adult Swim — the No. 1 basic cable network with millennials for over a decade — has given the greenlight to two new action-driven animated series set to premiere later this year. First up will be Apollo Gauntlet from MONDO’s animation studio Six Point Harness and Mosaic, set to debut this summer, followed by Hot Streets from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios in the fall.
Created by independent Canadian animator Myles Langlois, Apollo Gauntlet centers on an ordinary cop named Paul Cassidy who is transported to a futuristic-medieval world by the evil Dr. Benign. There he acquires a magical suit and a set of talking gauntlets, and sets out to become a hero fighting crime exactly how he wants under the name Apollo Gauntlet. The series is a quarter-hour comedy format.
Hot Streets is a sci-fi comedy adventure series created by animation writer Brian Wysol (Future-Worm!, Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken). A quarter-hour format, the show follows FBI Agent Mark Branski along with his partner, his niece and her dog as they investigate supernatural phenomena. Wysol executive produces with Stoopid Buddy’s Seth Green, Matt Senreich, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, and Justin Roiland.
