The 26th edition of Cartoon Forum will take over the French city of Toulouse this September 15-18, with more than 80 new animated series projects from across Europe scheduled to be presented out of the 150 submitted. An expected 850 industry professionals will have the chance to discover over 500 hours of fresh animation from well known studios like Folimage, JAM, Futurikon, Dargaud, Monster, Imira, Kavaleer, HIT, Cartoon Saloon, WunderWerk and more during the event.
Once again, French projects lead the per-country projects total with 30, followed by the U.K. and Ireland with 11 and 9 projects, respectively. Italy, Spain and Germany each have 7 projects in the running, followed by Belgium with 4 and Netherlands with 3. The Scandinavia region has a total of seven, including four from Denmark.
Less represented by welcomed back to this edition are countries from Eastern Europe like Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. And, for the first time, three projects from Korea will be presented at the Forum in order to expand the collaboration expanded at Cartoon Connection Korea. Hobgoblin Magician (FelixStudio), The Mole Farmer, Rabby (PriSystem) and Galaxy Kids (Tak Toon Enterprise) were picked by key European broadcasters CBeebies, France Television, YLE Finland, Germany YFE and Canal+ France at the November 2014 and April 2015 Cartoon Connection Korea events.
