Fans of Nina Paley (Sita Sings the Blues) will be happy to know that the brilliant New York-based indie animator has designed the 2009 poster for the 8th Annual International Animation Day, which takes place on October 28.
The International Animation Day was launched by ASIFA (Intl. Animated Film Association) in 2002 to commemorate the first public performance of Emile Reynaud’s Optic Theater in Paris in 1892.
In previous years, works by Iouri Tcherenkov, Paul Driessen, Abi Feijo, Eric Ledune, Noureddin Zarrinkelk and Michel Ocelot were featured on the IAD posters
