Adding to its ever growing list of laurels, Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away was named Best Animated Feature by the Online Film Critics Society. Released by Disney in North America, the Studio Ghibli production has emerged as the hands-down favorite with critics for 2002, having already received the honor in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers picked up the award for Best Picture with helmer Peter Jackson winning for Best Director. The film was also honored with the Best Ensemble Acting Award and technical awards for achievements in editing, sound and visual effects.
