Aardman’s ‘Early Man’ Leaves the Cave in New Teaser

Lionsgate has brought a new teaser trailer and poster for Aardman Animation’s highly anticipated stop-motion romp through ancient history, Early Man — due in US theaters February 16, following the January 26 UK release.

Directed by multiple-Oscar winner Nick Park (Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit), Early Man centers on a snub-nosed caveman named Dug (voiced by Eddie Redmayne), who with his porcine sidekick Hognob works to unite his Stone Age tribe against the technologically superior enemy Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age bullies.

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams also lights up the voice actors list, playing a sympathetic yet sassy Bronze Age villager named Goona, as seen in the new teaser.

The cast is completed by Timothy Spall (Chief Bobnar), Richard Ayoade (Treebor), Mark Williams (Barry), Selina Griffiths (Magma), Johnny Vegas (Asbo), Kevin Matadeen (Crowd), Simon Greenall (Eemak) and Gina Yashere (Gravelle).

Early Man is presented by Summit Entertainment, StudioCanal, Aardman Animations and The British Film Institute, produced by Aardman.
