Annecy 2017: TV and Commissioned Films Official Selection
After reviewing over 2,800 films (a 5% increase over last year) from 95 countries, Artistic Director Marcel Jean and program team Laurent Million, Yves Nougarède and Sébastien Sperer have selected 31 TV series & specials and 40 commissioned films (many focused on environmental and cultural issues), largely hailing from France, the US and the UK. Competing shorts were previously announced. Feature films will be announced at the end of April.

Director/designer Danny Capozzi perfectly captures those circuitous client conference calls about creative branding with a fun, visually eclectic new short: “I really wanted to create a piece that captured the humour and absurdity in some of those creative briefing calls and could showcase the different disciplines I’ve learnt during my time at Aardman, as well as my passions and influences in street culture.”
