Eon Kid Adds Licensing Partners

Four additional companies have joined the licensing program for Eon Kid, Starz Media’s animated action series airing on Kids’ WB! on the CW. C-Life Apparel, 3 Point Ent, LLC, Mad Dog Apparel and Concept 1 join master toy licensee Playmates Toys in bringing the popular property to consumers with a diverse range of products. C-Life Apparel has the license for tees and fashion tops, while 3 Point Ent. licenses trading cards and trading card games and Mad Dog Apparel handles sleepwear and socks. Concept 1 has bags, hats and cold-weather accessories. Playmates’ initial line of toys will be on store shelves in January.

The 26-episode, CG-animated series follows Marty, an enterprising boy who deals in scrap metal and stumbles upon the legendary Iron Fist of Eon. The Fist suddenly comes to life and attaches to Marty, endowing him with amazing fighting powers. Now Marty, along with his crazy-talking, robotic dog, Buttons, mysterious new friend Ally and the fearless warrior Gaff, must engage in the most important battle of all: good versus evil.

Eon Kid is produced by Daewon C&A Holdings Co., Design Storm Co., BRB International and Starz Media’s Manga Ent. Starz Media is distributing the show and coordinating licensing and merchandising, working with licensing agent Al Ovadia, president of Al Ovadia & Assoc. Manga Ent., a unit of Starz Media’s home entertainment company, Anchor Bay Ent., will release episodes from the series’ first season on DVD this fall.
