HIT is going with Universal for distribution of its library in home entertainment, streaming video and video on demand for the United States and Canada.
The multi-year partnership between the Mattel-owned HIT Entertainment, whose library includes such hit preschooler series as Thomas & Friends and Angelina Ballerina, allows Universal to market and distribute packaged media and multi-platform digital content for hundreds of titles within HIT’s preschool portfolio.
The deal takes effect Oct. 1 and covers Blu-ray, DVD, electronic sell-through, SVOD and VOD platforms.
