Mr. Men, Little Miss Brands Score Deals in Asia

New deals for the Mr. Men and Little Miss brands, based on the animated series produced by U.K.-based Chorion, have been finalized for the southeast Asia markets by licensing agent Click.

Among the high-profile promotions:

‘ An exclusive line of children’s and teen clothing will launch in The Philippines’ Shoemart Department Store in September. A separate Philippines deal with Neat Inc. will produce branded flip-flop sandals that will be sold in Shoemart and at Banana Peel stores.

‘ In Singapore, 7-Eleven convenience stores will sell 10 collectible cell phone danglers. Buying all 10 will give people a chance to win limited edition Mr. Strong and Little Miss Naughty plush toys. Another Singapore deal, with Biscuits World, kicked off a campaign for Mr. Men biscuits with 12 meter signs that appeared on buses for three months.

Mr. Men and Little Miss is proving to have strong appeal in Asia with both children and adults alike and we are delighted that Click has secured these innovative and high profile new deals for the brand,’ says Melissa Tinker, senior VP licensing, Asia Pacific, at Chorion.

Click has secured licensing agreements with 24 companies producing merchandise in 15 categories in seven countries since taking on the Mr. Men and Little Miss properties in late 2007.
