Little Airplane Productions has promoted Tom Brown from head of production to VP of production and operations.
Brown joined the company in 2002, working first as an assistant director and later as producer and then head of production. Among the shows he’s overseen development and production are The Wonder Pets!, Oobi!, 3rd and Bird and the upcoming Small Potatoes. He additionally oversaw the design and construction of the company’s studio at South Street Seaport in New York, set up a U.K. branch in 2009 and established the nonprofit Little Light Foundation.
Prior to LIttle Airplane, Brown worked on various commercials for major clients and wrote with Rob Goodman the original feature film 531.
“Tom Brown is the rare executive who understands both operations and the creative process,” said LIttle Airplane founder and president Josh Selig, “His steady hand and his loyalty have been key to the success of Little Airplane.”
Going forward, Brown will build strategic partnerships for Little Airplane and the Little Light Foundation in the areas of sponsorships, publishing, licensing, games, international co-productions and feature films.
