Toon Boom Technologies Inc. president Jacques Bilodeau has left the company, prompting the board of directors to promote COO Joan Vogelesang to the directorial position. She has been with the company since 1998. In addition to her new duties, she will retain her present responsibilities for sales, marketing and operations.
A Toon Boom representative told Animation Magazine Online that Bilodeau moved on to pursue other interests but gave no other details about his departure from the company. Bilodeau served as president since 1994.
Prior to joining the Company, Vogelesang was COO of Qsound Labs Inc., an audio technology firm. Before that, she served as VP of business operations at Hitachi Data Systems Inc. and put in ten years as VP of product line management at Philips Electronics Limited, where she was responsible for the design, engineering and manufacturing of multimedia PC’s internationally.
Based in Montreal, Canada, Toon Boom Technologies Inc. is a supplier of 2D animation software such as USAnimation. The company’s digital production tools are utilized by studios such as Klasky Csupo, Warner Bros., DreamWorks, Paramount, Universal, Sunwoo, Cuckoo’s Nest and Wang Films.
