Frederator Studios’ popular Cartoon Hangover YouTube channel has surpassed one million subscribers, becoming the second-fastest original funded YouTube channel to do so in its first 12 months.
Headed by industry veteran Fred Seibert (exec producer of Adventure Time and The Fairly OddParents), the toon site was launched in November of 2012 and has generated over 17 million unique viewers and over 72 million programming views. Among the site’s hottest original series are Bravest Warriors, Bee & PuppyCat, SuperF***ers and the Too Cool cartoon anthology.
Bee & PuppyCat recently got over $872,000 in funding from a successful Kickstarter campaign. Created and written by Natasha Allegri (Adventure Time), directed by Larry Leichliter and exec produced by Kevin Kolde and Eric Homan, the series revolves around a woman in her twenties, who picks up an intergalactic babysitting gig along with her mysterious space cat.
