The Cheesecake Factory restaurant chain is introducing online audiences to The Kitchen Speaks, a seven-part animated series featuring an “all-star cast” of kitchen utensils: upbeat Whisk, overwhelmed Board, frazzled Pan, happy-go-lucky Bowl, sharp-witted Knife and newbie Grater.
The Kitchen Speaks is a quirky campaign following the daily activities of kitchen tools prepping for the prep, showing a natural fear of microwaves, tolerating new employees and generally supporting one another on their “Made Fresh” journeys.
The Cheesecake Factory CMO Donald Evans (who spent 11 years with Disney and Pixar) worked with the Pereira & O’Dell agency and commercial animation studio House Special to create the spots. The series will run online leading up to National Cheesecake Day on July 29 and 30 through video partners including Hulu, YouTube and Drawbridge as well as the brand’s social channels.
