Hot on the hooves of the highly anticipated new movie (out now through Lionsgate), Hasbro continues to find fresh pastures for its popular ponies. Just announced, a brand-new My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is set to launch on YouTube next month. Starting November 17, the 45-episode series will roll out a fun new adventure each Friday.
The digital series, set in a humanoid-populated parallel world to Friendship Is Magic, shows that the magic of Equestria cannot be contained! From after school clubs to beach days, music festivals to theme parks, and a rockin’ Spring Break on a yacht, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity must navigate enchanted challenges as they learn what it means to be real superheroes … and survive high school.
Along with the series, Hasbro is releasing a new line of fashion dolls created in partnership with Laura Shuffman, the official My Little Pony: Equestria Girls celebrity stylist. The revamped dolls will have fresh, fashionable outfits, and helped inspire the look of the Mane 7 in the YouTube series. The new doll line will be available in the US in December, and globally beginning January 2018.
