With the third season of hit stop-motion kids’ series Shaun the Sheep launching around the world, Aardman Rights is announcing new global agent partnerships to reinforce the little critter’s status as a global brand.
The big news is an agreement with MNC, Indonesia’s largest TV network, which is on board as both broadcast partner and licensing agent for Shaun the Sheep as well as preschool counterpart series Timmy Time as both are emerging as leading brands in the Indonesian children’s market.
Recently further deals for Shaun have been secured with Seena for North Africa, LDI in Israel, TFC in Japan, TLC in Italy and Max Licensing in Taiwan/Hong Kong. Aardman has also renewed its agency deal with MBC in the Middle East.
“There are some very exciting plans for Shaun the Sheep over the next five years and we are proud to have an enviable network of agents to help us deliver them,” says Rob Goodchild, head of licensing at Aardman. “The brand is a global family favorite and we have worked hard to create a platform for strong and sustainable merchandise programs.”
