CITV’s ‘Fleabag Monkeyface’ Jumps Out of the Bag

The new animated series based on Knife & Packer’s books The Disgusting Adventures of Fleabag Monkeyface will be returning to CITV, ITV1 and ITV1HD in the U.K. in April. Co-produced by Sparky Animation, Impossible Kids, Walker Productions and Editude Pictures, the CG-animated series was first commissioned by CITV in 2010 and premiered on the channel in mid-December 2011.

The show follows the adventures of a half-monkey/half-boy hero and his friends Gerald and Gene, who are thrilled to discover that he has special Gross Out Powers. The enterprising trio quickly forms “Gross Out TV” and goes on to report on everything gross in the universe. However, evil genius Dr. Dirk Spamflex, who lost his own TV show, “Yucky Science,” is now bent on revenge (with help from his sidekick Deathbeak) to get Gross Out TV off television!
