DreamWorks Animation Launches Channel in Thailand

DreamWorks Animation will launch its first-ever dedicated linear TV channel in Thailand on Saturday, August 1, with the debut of DreamWorks Channel. The kids and family station is the result of a deal with local pay TV operator CTH and HBO Asia. DreamWorks Channel will launch in English, with a fully dubbed Thai version available in HD coming in September, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The channel will kick off with All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Casper’s Scare School and Dinotrux. A morning preschool block, DreamWorks Junior, will feature new productions of Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Guess with Jess and air daily. DreamWorks and HBO Asia are expected to launch other channels in the region in the near future.
