Indian 3D CG content producer-distributor HuLa Infotainment Studios and 18-year-old Brazilian film/animation prodco True Motion Studios have inked their first animated content co-production agreement, for the production of new episodes of the series Tamas and Rajas (52 x 4’).
Tamas and Rajas centers on two funny pals who do everything together: live, eat, travel, fish, clean the house, make lemon pie or put a Christmas Tree. Everything would be great if they did not have completely different personalities: An unusual team-up of a lazy, laid-back chubby kid with a thin, anxious, agitated guy. The lighthearted series that provides conflict resolution through humor, promoting values such as friendship and ethics. Produced in 3D CGI animation, its target audience is children between 3 and 9 years old, and their families.
The show has distribution agreements in Canada, US, UK, France, Spain and Portugal, and has aired across Latin America on Nick Jr./Nickelodeon since October 2017, becoming the No. 3 most-watched program.
Bangalore-based HuLa acquired Tamas and Rajas through a co-production deal, and holds distribution rights in the African Continent and Middle East as well as India.
