Planeta Junior and Spanish toy brand Famosa are teaming up to produce an animated adventure series based on the Mutant Busters line of action figures, which launched in 2013. The toy line is aimed at children ages 6-8 and presently combines a digital strategy with real game, augmented reality and apps.
Mutant Busters (52 x 11) will takes viewers to a future Earth divided in two parts: the area inhabited by human members of “La Resistance”, and the land of the repulsive mutants bent on taking over the planet. Currently in pre-production, the series will be presented at Kidscreen Summit. Planeta Junior will handle worldwide TV and licensing rights.
