Teaser: Showtime Starts Second Term for ‘Our Cartoon President’ May 12

SHOWTIME cordially invites you to join the “BILLIONS” of people who have visited the White House via its outrageous Washington D.C. comedy Our Cartoon President, as season 2 kicks off on May 12 at 8 p.m. / 7c.

The new, 10-episode season will see the POTUS strive to convince the American people that he is the greatest, least criminal president ever — meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Shumer tangle with Democratic wunderkind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. We’ll also see the Prez challenged by paying for Trump Tower Moscow and proving he’s stable enough to have the nuclear launch codes, with help from his esteemed colleagues and kids.

Plus, the race for the 2020 Democratic nomination, new characters from the worlds of politics and business, and a guest appearance by Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye.

Synopsis:

Executive produced by multiple Emmy winner Stephen Colbert and his Late Show executive producer, Chris Licht. Starring two-dimensional avatars of Donald Trump and his merry band of insiders and family members, this cutting-edge comedy presents the truish adventures of Trump, his confidants and bon vivants. It’s a workplace comedy where the office is oval, a character study in search of character, and a timely political send-up of our always-colorful 45th president and his family. Trust us, it’s yuge, and you’re going to laugh bigly. R.J. Fried will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Tim Luecke will serve as lead animator and co-executive producer. Matt Lappin will serve as consulting producer
