Singapore’s Tiny Island Productions and Classic Media are teaming up on a new children’s animated series called Dream Defenders that will be produced in stereoscopic 3D and launched at MIPCOM.
The action-comedy series will consist of 26 half-hour episodes about a pair that defends the real world from nightmare creatures with the help of their supercomputer.
Tiny Island will distribute the series in North America and Asia, and Classic Media will manage distribution across all media including consumer products in all other territories worldwide.
Based on original concepts by Tiny Island, the series will be produced at the Singapore-based studio, with a writing team based out of Los Angeles. Due for delivery in late 2011, the series will be available in both non-stereo 3D and stereo-3D formats.
The show is co-financed by Tiny Island Productions and the Media Development Authority of Singapore, at a total production budget of $5.2 million and is available for worldwide acquisition and licensing.
