This week’s premiere of Uncle Grandpa, airing Thursday at 5 p.m., will build on the Cartoon Network series’ quirky universe by inviting four amazing animators in as guest directors for short Uncle G adventures.
The shorts will be a colorful journey through history’s most delicious moments in “Time Burgers” by Mike Wartella (Superjail, MAD); a minimalist take by Pen Ward (Adventure Time) in “For Pete, Love Pen”; and a multi-technique journey into Uncle G’s imagination in “Total Reality” by Max Winston (I Live in the Woods!) — all tied together with charming bumpers by Over the Garden Wall art director Nick Cross.
